One reason why i would recommend the book "The Book Thief" by Marcus Zusak. Is because the book teaches the reader that words can be powerful regardless of anything. That even if you can't do something with actions physically then do it with words. This can help students fight for what they want using words. But not using immature words but with sufisticated words so that the person they are talking to has more respect for them.
The Setting of the book "The Book Thief " by Zusak takes place during World War 2 in a German town that is dirt poor. Marcus Zusak describes Molching, Germany as a town were everyone knows everyone. Throughout the book the author makes it so descriptive that you can picture everything in your mind. The setting is perfect for it to be set during World War 2. The author describes the town throughly. For you to almost be able to picture it in your own head.
My reaction to the book "The Book Thief" was this book it too long and too big. But this book is good for educational purposes. But it is really long and well it gets a bit boring at times. But it is like this because Zusak uses lots and lots do details to help you visualize everything perfectly in your head. And as a teenagers we like to see and visualize things not not really read a lot.
I would recommend this book to be used in High School class rooms. Why well because of the great literature that it holds. The story plot to it. But one dislike would be the length of the book, and down parts where it is not all that interesting but besides that. I would recommend this book.
