My Book Recommendation Of " The Book Thief "

Yes, I do recommend this book. My rating on this book for 1-5 is a 4. Initially, each character has a unique and different personality. Also, the setting is interesting because it was during WWII. Finally, my reaction to this book was that I thought it was sad but interesting at the same time. In conclusion, these are the three main reasons on why I recommend this book.

"The Book Thief" has good characters in it. Initially, because each character has a different personality. For example, there is a character called Papa. He does not support the Nazis, but his son Hans Jr. does support them. Papa is a good character because even though everyone supports Hitler he stays strong and doesn't support him at all. Also, there is a character named Liesel, and she has secrets some people don't know and one of them is that she steals books. This makes her a good character because she stole a book that Hitler wanted burned, and thats " The Shoulder Shrug." Finally, there is another character who doesn't get along with Liesel, and thats Rudy. This makes Rudy a good character because it adds a little bit of humor to the book with the fighting that goes on with him and Liesel. In conclusion, this is why I think "The Book Thief" has good characters.

"The Book Thief" has an interesting setting. First, because this was during WWII. In the book the setting is described in a way that you are able to imagine. For example, "There was a small circle of light and the shadow dressing itself" this is on page 454. This makes it a good setting because you can picture in your head how its dark all around and theres just a little circle of light. Also, the author mixes the character's attitude with the setting. For example, on page 399 it describes how guilty Papa felt and he uses the phrase "The kitchen cupboards were the shape of guilt." By his description you can picture how disappointed and guilty Papa looks. Finally, there is a street that is mentioned a lot in the book and thats " Himmel Street ." This street is where Hitler aways makes his meetings and the book burning. In conclusion, in "The Book Thief" Markus Zusak had good descriptions about the setting.

"The Book Thief" left me with a funny feeling. Initially, my reaction to the book was that it was sad but interesting at the same time. For example, the book affected me with how Liesel struggles with her life. This made me feel sentimental. Because I can relate with Liesel because some things she struggles with i have to struggle with too. This is related to my life because there are some things Liesel can't do. There are things i don't get enough support for so i can't do them either. Finally, honestly at first I thought the book was boring, but once the author starts talking about the Nazi and how Liesel and her family don't support them, it gets interesting.

In conclusion, I do recommend this book. Initially, because "The Book Thief has a different and unique personality for each character. Also, the setting is interesting because it was during WWII. Finally, My reaction to the book was that I thought it was interesting but sad at the same time. These are my reasons on why i recommend "The Book Thief." Hope you read it :) .
