The book thief written by Markus Zusak is a book I do and do not recommend for high school students for various reasons. It was during the age of Nazi Germany and a girl named Liesel Meminger was sent to another family after her baby brother dies. She was sent to Mr and Mrs Hubeherman were she admired her papa for his wisdom and kindness for her.

The major theme for this book is the power of the words. When Liesel was in the basement with Max he asked Liesel if she could tell him how the weather was outside today and Liesel said it was sunny and max said no use your own words and she described with imagery. That's how the book major theme is the power of the words.

The setting takes place in Germany during world war two and it sets a big role in the book because it makes everything more interesting and sets the imagery and everything else fall right into place. The author describes the setting very well because it all falls right into place with were it take place and how he uses imagery with the surroundings of the setting.

This book did not affect me at all but it was a very good book and I recommend you read it until the end. As I read farther into the book my thoughts did change because, at first it was really boring and dull to read, but as I got more and more into the book it became more interesting to read.

Overall I do recommend this book because its a great book but I don't recommend it because it is very time consuming and will take you a while to read it.

A Book Worth Stealing

I highly recommend the Book Thief, it's one of the greatest books I've read so far. From a 1-5 scale I give this amazing book at solid bold 5. This book is full of so many features that you cant get in some books. This book sucks you into it and wont allow you to do anything else but read.

The Book Thief is wonderful at its magnificent plot. The plot is just amazing with secrets, back story's, and its wonderful characters. Something unexpected is always happening makes the book explode with excitement. Zuskaks way of words explaining what's happening makes you feel like as if you are witnessing all the events he is writing about, It would be a shame to just walk right past this book.

This book has such amazing realistic characters that you get to know about in this story. If you read the book, you'll know more about Liesel than anybody else. She has the most in her back story and shes the only one that lives in the end. Max gives up everything, including his family to survive with Liesel. Everybody thinks Rudy as a joke. Hans was in war before and there's just so much with all the characters.

The setting of this story is a really good one. WWII one of the most important dates in history. The setting makes everything perfect and is really fitting. WWII enhances the story by a ton, it makes everything more interesting and perfects it. The bombings, the struggle to pay, and just everything else.

Overall i think this is a really good book and I highly recommend it to anybody whos looking to read a good book.

Why?? The book Thief is a good book

When i read a book, I want a book that shows emotion and also keeps me interested. The book " The Book Thief " is the perfect book that does both. Not only do these characters in this seem real, but they make you believe that they are actual people. This book makes you believe that this stuff actually happened. Also in this book I think that the author is trying to show a different perspective about what happened during World War 2.

Liesel Meminger is a young teen who in Germany. This is the time of when World War 2 is occurring. She is a young girl who was taken in by a family called the hubbermans. This book always showing how the characters are always doing something that you would think is crazy or Really boring. That's what's good about this books characters.

This book has a lot of figurative language in it while your reading.  You will also find a lot of setting shifts while reading if your pay attention to that.  The author basically made this book in order show a different perspective of what happened during World War 2.

So over all books, I would read this one the most just because it is a good book to read and it keeps me interested every time I read it.

The loner girl

The Book thief is a we'll write book because for many reason's. I would recommend this book to people who love the World War 2 era and to and to the people who would like to see the other side of the World War 2 in the German's eyes.

the book thief is a well write book because of the language that is used by Marcus Zusack. One reason why the language is that he uses a lot of creative language in this book. An example is "There were the erased pages of mein kampf, gagging , suffocating under the paint as they turned. He also has a very good structure based writing. An other example is "The man was positively mugged and beaten to a glass-shattering pulp.". This is how the language in the book thief was why it was well written.

Another reason why the book thief was a well written book was the narrator. The narrator in this book was death himself. He would explain how he would take the soul of the people who died. Also he would explain the color of the sky when he saw Liesel the three times. He even said he was haunted by people. This is how the narrator makes the book thief a good book.

Yet another reason why the book thief is a good book is the  character change that goes on in this book. The character change in this book happens to Rosa and Liesel they both did something that you would never believe what they do. Rosa changed by telling Liesel that Max had awakened and Rosa was not yelling at Liesel or calling her a pig. Also Liesel changed when the bombing happened on Himmel street by telling Rudy she loved him after the bombing when Rudy died. This is why the character change in the book thief made this a really good book.

These are the reason that made this book so good and this book will make you love it.

It's A Steal

In the world of  "The Book Thief" words are big part of power. The title is self explanatory, the main character falls deeply in love with words , that she risks stealing books. This novel is definitely appropriate for high school students, especially if studying 'World War II'. This novel gives a vivid picture of what was going on in those times.

Liesel Memiger was on a destination to live with her new parents, Rosa and Hans Hubermann  in Molching, Germany after being given up by her mother when Liesel's brother Werner dies on the train to the destination. Liesel experiences nightmares and Hans so kindly comforts her. Hans teaches Liesel how to read when she steals her first book at a cemetery where her brother is buried "The Gravediggers Handbook". In the novel, death himself is the narrator. He identifies the book thief (Liesel) and as he progresses through the novel he provides glimpses of the future without giving it away.

Markus Zusak bring the characters to life by using vivid language to describe them in conclusion giving emotions for each character. For instance, Rosa Hubermann, Liesel's forster mom has a very strong personality. Rosa seems like she is cold hearted, but she surprisingly has one on the biggest hearts in the novel. Hans Hubermann is comforting in Leisels eyes. He teaches Leisel how to read and also backs her up when Rosa is being hard on her. Leisel and Hans become very close in the novel. Max Vandenburg is a Jew that Hans and his family keep hidden. Max is caring and selfless , Max and Leisel gain a very good friendship Leisel considers Max her family. throughout the novel. Rudy Steiner is Leisel's friend he is adventurous and tough. Rudy has stood up for Leisel several times. Each and every character is brought to live by the very vivid language that Markus uses.

The majority of the story takes place in a fictional town of Molching, Germany on 33 Himmel Street. The novel last through 1939 and 1943. The setting seems dark, caused by the violence that is contained in the novel. The setting is beautifully described and this is incredibly important because it helps to visualize the setting.

I had different thoughts about the story. It is a bit intense but thankfully has comedic relief. Markus slowly builds the story, in the begging I had an urge to give up on the book but it was all worth it. I was amazed by the style that Markus used to write the story. The book grew on me from its emotional  effect. I definitely enjoyed reading this novel.

In conclusion "The Book Thief" is one of the best books I have read and I honestly dislike reading. The characters, setting and my reaction have and importance to the book. Leisel has understood how powerful words can be , words had a huge affect on Liesel. Therefore, the previous writing is why I would recommend the book to a high school student without a doubt.

The book thief

I would recommend the book thiefe not only for the story being told in the book but for the things it can help you understand such as imagery, characteristics, and and settings.the book thiefe has many intresting things that many people are intrested in such as drama  and surprise. Again I'd recommended the book thief for it's many intresting thing to share.

The book thief shows so many signs of imagery you can just imagine the book wall reading. Many pieces of imagery are explained and told in such a way you get more then just the normal picture you'll get the full image. The characters are explained with such a choice of imagery you can see the actual face of the person in the book. Setting is very much less explained with imagery it is giving the same things of imagery but just not in much more detail. imagery is given through other way death sees the sky when he picked up those three body's he seen red, black and white such as a simile for the notzi flag.

Characters are given such an imegry it is very possible they are an image in you head. The characters can either be nice or mean such as anybody today but in the end no one is mean everyone just dies.as liesle journeys on she encounters many people and has very different feeling towards them all. There are 5 main characters and they are liesle, Hans, rosa, max and Rudy , all expect liesle served a big part in liesle and her adventures life  these people are the people liesle loved.

With out a setting the story is kinda pointless because then you won't understand why things are happening but in the book thieves case the settings were very much very much told and in a good way mot to tippacle not to extreme . The setting is very Important to the book thief because most places have a disaster happen and the disaster is always explained to the point of almost every detail and it gives a very vivid image of the place everything is happening. The setting also sets a tone of mood at times such as if it's dark it might be sad and if lighten up by the sun a good day you must pay attention to setting a lot because if not you'll get very confused.

There for I would recommended the book thief to be taught to a ninth grade class or higher because of the many things it can teach you so much.

Book thievery

Upon arrival on 33 Himmel street Liesal Meminger's life would change forever. She would no longer have her mother or her brother by her side. She will only have Hans and Rosa Hubberman. Along the way, a man named Max too. There is soccer playing, falling in love, and book stealing.

The characters in The Book Thief seem to come to life. They seem real and allow you to relate to the situation their in. There is someone you can relate to in the book. You can always relate to something in the story. Marcus Zusak perfectly captures Liesal's teenage attitude. Everyone knows what it's like to be that teenager. Joining Liesal in here time on Himmel street is her best friend Rudy Steiner. Through out the story Rudy does everything he can to get Liesal to kiss him. All of the character bring the book to life. And Zusak's words make the characters even more realistic because he describes the characters perfectly and makes you fall in love with them.

The setting is set during world war 2. Molching, Germany is the exact place where Himmel Street  is located. And that is where Liesal  meets her new foster parents Rosa and Hans Hubberman. The setting of the story plays a major role in the story. Without this specific setting, the events in the book wouldn't be as important. This setting makes to book even better because its makes the book come to life. This setting is what makes the book because world war 2 is when Hitler came to power. During his time ruling is when he took all the jews and too much power. Himmel street is where most of the events take place.

My reaction to the book is one of the main reasons why i reccomend it. The book may start off slow and uninteresting but as the story continues it amazes me how great of a book it is. My thoughts rapidly changed through out the book. High schoolers should be required to read this. Its a great book and they can find it really interesting.

Code Talker essay

I do recommend the book "Code Talker". It describes the characters really well. The setting affects Ned because it shows the places he is in for World War Two. The plot is an Indian boy trying to adapt to a white society. The book "Code Talker" is a very interesting book.
One reason why I'd recommend the book "Code Talker" is because it describes the characters really good. For example, it says when and why the Navajos change differently. In my option I think the description of a character helps you understand the story better. In addition, the author said the Navajos had to cut almost all their hair off. This shows had to adapt to the white culture. Furthermore, it says Navajos names where changed. This helps to understand the book because it gives reasons why they changed their names. The characters in "Code Talker" are very well described.
Another reason why I'd recommend the book "Code Talker" is because it tells you about every setting. For example, it says when the Navajos move. This helps to understand the the reasons why they are doing stuff. In addition, the setting affects Ned a lot. It affects Ned a lot because Ned goes to a lot of places. Furthermore, the book tells us about how everyone adapts to the white culture they are in. To me a character adapting to a culture is very important. The book "Code Talker" describes the setting good.
Yet another reason why I'd recommend the book "Code Talker" is because there is a lot of interesting plots. For example, all the Navajos must change. The Navajos had no choice but to cut their hair, change their names, and more. This event is very important because no one is the same any more. In addition, Navajos could of picked what age they want to be. They where able to do this because no one had proof of date of birth. Furthermore, Ned wanted to be in the army but he was one year to young. Ned was able to lie about his age to go to war. The plot is the most important part of a book; and in "Code Talker" the plots are very interesting.
"Code Talker" is a very good book. The book describes everything very well. "Code Talker" is one of the best songs I read so far. It is a very interesting book with great plots and events. I recommend the book "Code Talker" because it is a great book.

The Book Thief

I do Recommend the book "The Book Thief" to Adults, but not to Any high school class. The reason why I recommend this book is because, it is simply a good book and great for any reader to visualize how times were in Germany back in WWII, also the Characters in the book are cool. But, One reason why I do not recommend this book to high school classes or students are because it is too long.

One Reason why I recommend the book, "The Book Thief" is because it is a very good book, and great for readers to visualize how times were in Nazi Germany during WWII ( World War Two ) . The book  is based on a family in Nazi Germany that shows how hard times were living during that time. Also on all the bombings happening because they were in the middle of a war.

Another reason why I recommend this book because the characters. The Characters names in this book are , Leisal Meminger, Papa, Mama, Rudy Steiner, and Max the Jew ( that the family offered a home to ) . Papa took in the Jew that left his mother and put him in the basement. Until, he got so type of sickness and had to sleep in Leisal's bed until he got better. Rudy is Leisals best friend and Leisal is the main character , the little girl.

One reason why I do not recommend this book to any high school class is because, it is very long and not very easy for students to understand as good as Adults might. Also , this book took almost half of the school year and we couldn't read any other book for the year. Even though it is a very good book, it's not very good for any high school class.

Those are the reasons why I believe this book is a good recommendation to adults but not to high school students.
The Book Thief
A book about a girl who is just trying to find her way in life.
By: Markus Zusak
Historical fiction

How does the setting affect how the book turns out?
The Book Thief is a book about a girl that is having a hard life and gets adopted. They live in a town called Molching. The town is described as being a small town without much to do. This town is where Liesel meets most of her friends and she also likes to go down by the lake with  papa they read books and papa plays his accordion.
It seams that the setting of the book affects how much of ww2 that Liesel experiences and how it affects her family.

I think the author wrote about a little girls experience on world war 11 because a child's experience can be different from an adults. I believe the author wrote on this subject because it was very easy to think of ideas on what could happen. This books genre was historical fiction the elements this book has is the nazis in the book would do things that the real nazis would do, and the reactions of people toward the Jews are what they would actually say. The intended audience is most likely young adults because it teaches about the struggles that a family would go through and what would happen to the Jews and there supporters.that is what I think the authors purpose of writing on this subject was.

The way the book affected me was it made me think about the struggles a family of Jews or a family harboring a Jew would have to go through. My thoughts about the book changed as I saw how the nazis treated everyone especially the Jews. I also got more interested in. How the other families and people thought about Liesels family. The book is related to my life in a way like my cousin has a pit
bull and he isn't aloud to let her roam about its like having a Jew in your house.that is the way the book has affected me.

I recommend this book to anybody who is interested in reading about a little girls thoughts about WWII and what would happen to the Jews and the people that

This blog is my thoughts on the book "The Book Thief."

A Long Way From Home

Nazi Germany 1939. A young girl makes her first act of disobedience by picking up an object that was sitting in the snow. Liesel Meminger  was at the graveside of her brother when she noticed the object. Liesel then picked it up and across the front read "The Gravediggers Handbook."

Taken place during the Nazi war Liesel Meminger loses her younger brother on a train. She then has to go a foster home which her foster parents are Hans and Rosa Huberman. With liesel's love affair for books, her foster father Hans teaches her how to read.  Liesel feels comfortable around Hans more then Rosa.

Rosa is described to look like a wardrobe sailor. She is described as a sailor because she has a mouth like a sailor and as a wardrobe because she is tall. Liesel is a powerful young girl who makes it far along the road. Hans is an accordion playing person who had a bad past he learned from. Max is another person who lived in the Hubermans basement. He lived in the basement due to being homeless. The Hubermans were kind enough to let him stay. This was a big risk because it was wrong for Jews to have a German body in there household. It wasn't so bad because Max was a kind and sweet person who connected with Liesel.

Zusak  the author of this novel makes his characters personalities seem real. There emotions and everything are on point. These characters are wonderful. A story of words created by an outstanding author who knew how to get his readers quickly adapted to. This novel has a good display of figurative language. His words can put a clean image of the story in mind. Zusak has a good setup for this book.  He puts death as the narrator. He uses death as the narrator to foreshadow. He uses this technique by having death spoil a part of the book. As you read you'll come across the part from the foreshadow. It's pretty unique. This format of the book is marvelous  and makes readers think.

Over all this is a great book.  I would recommend this book to someone who likes to read. Is book needs some tome to read but it would be worth it because of all the good words and figurative language. I honestly thought this was a great book even though I missed some of it.
The book "The Book Thief" written byMarkus zusak I believe to be a realy good book. a tale of love loss recovery and tragedy. In this book there are several key aspects that help to make it as enjoyable as it is. I would recommend this book to other high school students because of its cheracters, its setting, as well as how it made me react.
The characters in the book The Book Thief seem to come right off of pages. Markus Zusak is really able to capture the emotions and portray them in  the readers mind. Liezel is a main character of the book while reading I had no trouble visualizing all of her experience and emotions. Rudy another character is a relatable trouble maker who really gets close to the reader as the book progresses. These characters are the star of the show and the best part of the book.
The setting in the book is a compelling source emotion attached to the characters as we'll creating underlying tone of the book. The setting of "The Book Thief" is set on Hummel street Nazi Germany. This is essentially the poor part of town even more so than the already poor Germany. Because the book is set in the poorer part of town this creates an exciting and suspenseful foreshadowing of hard times to come. "The Book Thief" was also exciting because of the way it made me react.
This book I can honestly say is one of the best books I've read and I don't like reading. Everyone in the book creates a strong connection between the reader and the character . Every character was imbedded in my mind because of how Markus Zusak portrayed them. No matter who it was the book thief or there friends even the antagonists created a strong emotional tie with me. This book made me react stronger than most of the books I've read and I will never forget it. That is why I would recommend this book to high school students.

A book behind World War II, thievery, Nazi's, and death.

A book behind World war II, a girl who has a rough life, which gets worse. Although she makes the best of it, she has power. The power of words that drives her through fears from past, present, and future. The book thief they call her; Liesel Meminger. This story will put you in a suspense state with amazing theme, plot and characters.

I strongly recommend this book for high-school students because of one of the themes. The power of words; This theme is so huge in this book, but also huge in reality. Voice is such a big thing that everyone should have, and the book clearly shows this. The word shaker, which was a book written to Liesel before Max left really brings this theme out. The word shaker reminds Liesel of how powerful her words are. Shaking words, from books, her lips, and even from the lips of others. It reminds her to plant, but also shake words, of friendship, love, and hate.

Another reason why I recommend this book to high-school students is because of the plot. The plot that this book goes through is so sad, but inspirational. This book goes through a serious of events that break, and make Liesel. One strong heart breaking event that Liesel goes through is the death of her closed ones. Papa, Mama (Rosa), Her brother, and even her real mother, although she didn't leave, she still left her. Another strong even that Liesel goes through is keeping Max in her basement. Max was her hope, her inspiration, and her best friend. With max leaving, she though it was over, but with him being in her mind, she pulled through. This is what makes the plot so interesting. The fact that Max left her, and after that it all went down hill, she still had hope. Left over hope from her best friend Max.

This book would also be strongly recommended because of the characters. Most of all characters play a huge roll in Liesels' life. Mama, Papa, Max, Rudy, and even Death. Papa and Mama are the ones who take Liesel from her real mother due to her inability to take care of her, and they teach her so much without Liesel even realizing it. Papa teaches Liesel how to read, which is something so huge to have in her situation. Mama teaches Liesel how to be strong, how to be strong even at her weakest state. Rudy; Rudy teaches Liesel love and friendship. Rudy does everything with Liesel and keeps her very strong and worthy. Rudy keeps her distracted from everything going around outside of her, and although Rudy is in-love with her, Liesel doesn't realize she loves him too, and finally Max. Max is probably the most important person to Liesel due to his hope. Max shows Liesel so much that she can do with her words and knowledge. Max is also a huge part of hope for Liesel, although he leaves her, Liesel will always remember the advice and words that he had given her.

This book is such an amazing and powerful book that everyone should read. It teaches you lessons that you may need in life at some point. Despite its effort taking time to read, this book is an inspirational message to everyone that should be noted.
In 1939 through 1945 Hitler killed and brutally abused the Jews. He used violence to gain power and strikes fear in people's eyes. The author Markus Zusak wrote the novel The Book Thief to show the point of view of the people who were against Hitler.

I recommend the novel because it shows emotion on how the author feels towards the Book Thief's characters. Marcus Zusak explained their emotions and each one of them had individual characteristics throughout the story. Like when he had Liseal  explain the way max's hair was blond but was darkening like a candle. I think that this symbolizes the way his innocence was slowly fading away.

The authors purpose in my eyes was to show how the people who weren't for Hitlers ideas helped out by doing little things such as Hanse and Rosa. They each had their own opinions  and beliefs twords what they believed was right. Hanse didn't what the others thought.he seem a opportunity and took a chance by giving the Jew a piece of bread and later suffered the consequences.

My reaction on the Book Thief is a sad and inspirational story. It motivated me and taught me how to do what I felt was right and to not follow others. This novel showed me that no matter how many people are doing the wrong things never follow in there foot steps. I appreciate the way Zusak didn't just tell another story of how the Jews were affected but the way others were harmed as well.

All in all, Markus Zusak is. Great author and I strongly recommend that reading The Book Thief will be something that you will not regret.

The amazing book .

There's a amazing book name 'book thief' .  This book is so interesting because how leasel shows how she cares about her friends , family and books . I would want to talk about it because this book is sad and amazing .

I would want to talk about this amazing book.some way's that the character seem real was that I could imagine everything what the book was saying . I know that the character was nice towards the attitude from the authors. It seem nice because all the book showed it all about the story .  The author shows a lot . The book will say so many good things about leasel and her life story .

The emotional qualities from the book about leasel was sad ,because ruddy died, and because she loved books and they always burned them so she was sad about it . Leasel been though so many stuff that happened to her and her life that hopefully she could forget and move on about it . Also , leasel will be with her family and be great about it , she need to have a amazing life and care. More about her books and family ,yes she lose the boy that she liked a lot .

The book thief have something that would make you feel emotional about it . Some of the parts of the book affect me was when Rudy died , that affect me because i could imagine it how leasel was crying about it . She had to sound emotional how she cried for rudy ,that showed that she really liked him but she lose him . Also some thoughts about the book that changed as I was reading was when leasel was talking about with her mother or maybe she told her about Rudy death .

Some parts that this book related to my own life was when Rudy died , that part related to my life because I still remember that this boy that I really loved died from a car accident that remember me a lot about that , I know from inside that I could feel her emotion ,and how she felt about Rudy death . I could imagine her crying for Rudy . Conclusion ,I really like this book so much because it was really interesting i would want to watch the movie maybe that movie looks way better then the book .

The Book Thief

The Book Thief is a book filled with love, hate, mystery, and sorrow. You can't predict whats going to happen next, especially the ending.

When ever you think of World War 2 you think of the holoucast, but this book is different. It's about a innocent family living through WW2. I believe the reason why the author wrote it on this topic is because it's  the other side of WW2. Most WW2 books or stories are about the Nazi's and the holocaust.Liesel and her brother were adopted into a family that doesn't like Hitler and they hide a jew named Max while all the jews are being caught and put into concentration camps. I believe the author achieved his goal because it brings a diffferent perspective to a WW2 story. The Book Thief was made for people who like reading about WW2.

The Book Thief is a very slow paced book. It's also a very long book because it is slow paced. The author takes his time into getting into the all the action and interesting parts of the book. The author is very descriptive, he makes things interesting by bieng very descriptive. There is alot of conflicts in The Book Thief from the Hubbermans hidding a jew too papa giving bread to a jew infront of a officer. They all relate to one thing, thats disobeying the furher. The elements that drive the suspense is when they hid Max (Jew) and them not liking the furher (Hitler). The plot is probably the strongest part of it all. The plot is what makes this story mostly. It's the suspence, conflict, climax, and resolution.

The charecters play a huge role in this book. Especially Hans, Rosa, Max, Liesel, and Rudy. The charecters seem real because the author makes them have emotions and they seem to do what real people would do. Liesel plays soccer with rudy and Rosa does laundry for rich people basically, and Hans paints houses. The Author bases everything off of Rosa she is like the man charecter other then liesel nd hans. Rosa is very mean at the begining but then she starts to care for liesel and the thingss around her, like at first she never cared for max but then over time she really cared about him especially when the bombings and things occured. I really can't relate to any of these characters because my life isn't anything like theirs.

I mean All in all i would recommend it but then again if you don't like WW2 or anything that has to do with WW2 then this wouldn't be a book i recommend reading.

The Amazing Book Thief Review

The book thief is a very good book to read. It has many details and very specific characters. The author uses vocabulary that makes the book pop out. The book has humor and lots of sadness. At first, the book was boring and then I didn't want to read it anymore. But, a few chapters later, the book gets so interesting and emotional that you won't stop reading. It is packed with plots that will change the way that you read.

One of the main characters is Liesel Meminger. She is an orphan until she gets adopted by Hans Hubberman and Rosa Hubberman. Hans loves to play the accordion and rosa loves to talk smack. Although this is set in Germany during WW2, she has a blast because she is German. Liesel makes a friend along the way named Rudy with hair color of lemons. They go through an adventure of plots and they grow up together.

There is a lot of intense vocabulary in the book thief. For example, ponderous means labored and dull. Another word is infamy. It means a state of extreme dishonor. There are way more words that make this book pop out including the language that is in the book. For example, Rosa is always saying saumensch to everyone which meanss pig in German; including saukarl, which is a more insult meaning for pig in German.

The book theif has its funny moments and its sad moments. For example, Rudy is in a nazi camp and he falls in poop. A sad moment was when liesel's brother dies and she becomes an orphan. There are also moments when Rudy and Liesel play soccer outside and the conversation starts to get funny because of them talking smack to eachother. Those are some funny and sad moments. I wouldn't want to ruin the book.

In conclusion, i recomend this book if you are into WW2, history fiction, and adventure. It is a long book but once you start reading, it is hard to stop. It is a very well book put together by the one and only Markus Zusak. Give the book a try and see if you like it or not.

The Book Thief is an amazing book. Over all I would give the book a 4/5 because the book does an excellent job explain the setting, plot, describing characters and  getting to your emotions, but this book is very time consuming if you only have an hour a day to read it.

The first reason I recommend The Book Thief is because Markus Zusak does an awesome job building suspense throughout the book. One way he does this is by adding tragedy and sadness into the book. Zusak also adds foreshadowing To pull the reader into the mysteries the book has to offer. He also builds the conflict,  climax and resolution very well. This is the first reason I recommend The Book Thief.

Another reason that make this a great book is the setting. The Book Thief take place in Nazi Germany during World War II. This plays a big role in the book because Hitler was in power and if people had resistance to Hitler they would get bombed. The characters are influenced by the setting because they were poor and had to steal things that they couldn't afford.

This book affected me by showing me what happened to Jews when Hitler was in power. It also shows me how poor people were in Nazi Germany. I can relate to the book because I have lost family members and I have had my house destroyed. These are all the reasons I recommend The Book Thief.

The theory of the book

There are many different books. However, the book I recommend is " The Book Thief". This book is a good book for the provided reasons. I will tell you why and some examples of the book.

The author describes conflict, climax, and resolution step by step. there are many ups and downs in this story. There are big and small conflicts, climax, and resolutions. He gets readers stuck with a problem and by three chapters later he gets in touch with them and resolves it. Some elements that built suspence in the book is that some of the authors thoughts where in the book, there was setting shifts, and he would tell us what will happen later on in the book. I believe that the plot is stronger than other elements because with the plot the author will explain every element and he would not just say it he will describe them anf use strong language. All in all, I just told you how the plot is in the story.

Style is in this book too. Some of the "intellectual qualities" of writting of Markus Zusak is that he will tell us his thoughts in the book and provide hints. for example, "His eyes were the color of agony" (393), the author uses figurative languague. Also, "... dominoes were falling like dead bodies in the living room" (410), the author will also compare many things. Some of the "emotional qualities" of Zusak's writting is the actions of characters and the descriptions of hoe the sky will look like. For example, "...an ocean sky, with whitecap clouds." (389), the author will always describe the sky, whether good or bad, to the whole towns feelings. The dialogue of this story is strong. I know this because, the author usesdifferent language and strong vocabulary. "The Book Thief" has style!

I strongly recommend"The Book Thief". I recommend this book for three reasons. First, I know this is a good book to read. This is because it helps you in your english, such as, vocabulary and understanding. Another reason, is that the author Markus Zusak, gives good descriptions of what is happening in the story. Like most kids they are not good with books, with this author's descriptions, you will not get lost on what you are reading. The best part is that you can see the movie after you're done reading the whole book.

I believe that the author wrote on this subject because he was part of the Hitler issue or a family member and wanted to say his point of view in the story. I think he didn't use anothe subject because he was interrested on how we will react on the subject and our interest of Hitler. The genre of this book is historical fiction. The elements that this book is historical fiction is that the Hitler issue is the historical part and the telling of the story id fiction. The intended audience is people who love history, and enjoy stories that happen in real life.

In my own opinion, "The Book Thief" is a really good book and you should read it for fun and not as an assignment in school. This book provided many thinking and can help you in your life in various types of ways. In other words, you should check out this book soon.

A World Full Of Mystery! -- Love, hate, all in one.

Imagine a world where words are more powerful than actions. That's "The Book Thief" by Markus Zusak. You and anyone will dig it. Historical but interesting, you'll learn about hate, love hidden in fake hate, and love. It may look boring, but trust me when I say this, it's one of the only books I actually enjoyed reading.
The Book Thief's characters tell us about the language they used and show how powerful words can be. At this time hitler, the leader, had brainwashed the Germans against the Jews, and the Nazi party was going on. Rosa would call Liesel or girls saumench and boys saurkel and they would listen right away. The words that you may find offensive, are just normal to them. The characters show bravery because they defend themselves and their loved ones. They show live towards each other. Rudy always showed and reminded Liesel how much he loved her. Even though Liesel never showed Rudy he loved him, she actually loved him a lot. This is how the characters language they use and how powerful they can actually be.
"The Book Thief" by Markus Zusak is a Historical Fiction novel. In this book you learn how times were like in Germany. At this time, world war 2 was going on and it shows how the soldiers were chosen to go to war. They would start training for war as early as at the age of 13 years old. One of the main characters, Rudy, was chosen to go to a training. They then start to show the hate towards the führer. The town was finally bombed and nothing's was left, the war was over. The Jew they've been hiding can finally come back and visit Liesel with out hiding.
The Book Thief's setting tells us how Germany was at the time Hitler was the leader. Everyone was controlled and everyone had to follow the führer's rules. Jews would walk through the streets on their way to the concentration camps. The place was always cold and the weather described the characters mood. Since the wars was going on, they had to hide from bombings. This shows how the setting describes Germany when Hitler was leader.
"The Book Thief" is a very interesting book. I would recommend it to everyone. The book may look boring and long but trust me, it's worth every single page, all 500. You'll enjoy reading this book as much as I did. This book affected me because now I would enjoy reading more, it brings a reward at the end of every good book. This is my reaction towards "The Book Thief".
